Nicole Flynn, LCSW

Trauma & EMDR Specialist | Somatic & Parts Work Therapy | Holistic Healing

Healing is not just about processing the past—it’s about reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels safe, empowering, and deeply restorative. My approach to individual therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based trauma treatments with nervous system regulation, body awareness, and deep self-compassion, so healing can unfold in a way that feels safe, sustainable, and transformative.

What Makes My Approach Different?

I believe that therapy is more than just talking—it’s about experiencing change from the inside out. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck in old emotional patterns, struggling with anxiety, trauma, or disconnection. Together, we go beyond surface-level coping skills and work toward true healing by integrating:

• **EMDR Therapy** – Helping the brain process trauma in a way that reduces emotional distress, allowing you to move forward with more ease.

• **Somatic Awareness & Nervous System Regulation** – Learning to feel safe in your body by working with the wisdom of your nervous system.

• **Parts Work (IFS/Ego State Therapy)** – Exploring and healing different parts of yourself that hold pain, fear, or self-doubt.

• **Mindfulness & Grounding Techniques** – Building tools to stay present and connected, even in moments of stress.

• **Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) Skills** – Developing strategies to shift out of survival mode and into a place of emotional balance.

What You Can Expect in Therapy

Therapy with me is not about pushing through discomfort or forcing change—it’s about working at a pace that honors your nervous system while helping you build resilience and self-trust.

Together, we will:

• Create a sense of emotional and physical safety before processing deeper experiences.

• Identify patterns and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck.

• Explore trauma in a way that feels manageable—not overwhelming.

• Develop new ways to relate to yourself with more self-compassion and confidence.

I tailor each session to meet you where you are, ensuring that the process feels empowering, not re-traumatizing.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced:

• **Complex PTSD & Childhood Trauma** – Healing attachment wounds, neglect, and early-life distress.

• **Sexual Assault & Relationship Trauma** – Processing experiences of harm while reclaiming personal power.

• **Anxiety, Panic, & Dissociation** – Learning to regulate emotions and feel safe in your body again.

• **Chronic Stress & Nervous System Dysregulation** – Finding relief, balance, and inner peace.

About Me & My Experience:

Before opening my private practice, I worked in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, hospice care, and with veterans—supporting individuals navigating PTSD, trauma, and complex grief. I bring extensive experience in trauma recovery and currently serve as a psychotherapist with the California Victim of Crime program.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge, and a BA in Sociology. My work is rooted in a deep belief in each person’s capacity for healing, growth, and self-compassion.
